PETROL STOLEN
"VERY SERIOUS MATTER" "Nowadays with petrol so to obtain it is a very serious matter for a motorist to be inconvenienced by having his limited supply stolen," said Mr. C. R. Orr S.M., when sentencing two youths the Police Court yesterday. They were Richard
Lan Hall and Stanley Malcolm Tuff ley, both labourers, aged 20, and they pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing two gallons of petrol. "I am stretching a point in not sending prison." said the magistrate, admitting both accused to probation for two years. A special condition was that they should not associate.
