STERLING £27,000 HIGHER INCREASE IN ADVANCES TOTAL £822,000 GREATER [BY TELEGIUrn PRESS association] WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return for the ■week ended Monday, October 2, was gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at £33,962,983, or £592,064 more tiian at the close of the previous week. Notes and other demand liabilities aTo some £537,000 higher in value than in last week's statement. The sterling exchange reservo at £5,338,703 is £27,023 higher. The ratio has decreased from 25.822 per cent to 25.473 per cent. Advances to the Primary Products Marketing Department are £271,996 higher. Those for other purposes havo increased by £550,000 to £16,800,000.
