RATHER UNSETTLED ■ MILD TEMPERATURES The weather report and forecast 'for New Zealand issued by the Government meteorologist ■ last evening were as follows: — General Situation. —An anti-cyclone remains centred to the south-east of New Zealand. Pressure is low to'tlio south-west, and a series of weak depressions is passing in the north. Winds.--Moderate to fresh westerlies north of T.irannki and Hnwkc's Bay but elsewhere moderate north-easterlies still predominating. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Bather rough north of Kavrhia and south oE .Banks Peninsula, elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasinan Sea: Moderate to strong westerly winds and rough seas in the northern portion light to fresh northerly winds and mod' erate seas in the southern portion. Weather.—Mainly fair from the AYaikato district northward and in western and southern areas of the Sourii Island, hut with some'passing shower* esijcciallv in the north. Elsewhere still dull and unsettled, with occasional rain or drizzle. Temperatures mild in t] le north, moderate in the south. SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST FAIR AND MILD GENERALLY The Government meteorologist .issued to the Hkkaj.d last evening the following special forecast for the .Auckland Province: —Moderate to fresh wester]v winds. Occasional passing showers are probable, but the weather otherwise is likely to be mainly fair and mild. Seas rather rough on the west coast, slight to moderate on th<> >*nst co&st. fYESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland.—Conditions were showery with a moderate wind, which moved during the day from northwest to north. The maximum temperature was 08 degrees and the minimum 50 degrees. Barometric pressure was fairly steady.
