CHRISTCHURCH EXCHANGE LAST WEEK'S TURNOVER Turnover on the Christehurch Stock Exchange last week was £16.160, compared with £13,!)60 the week previously. Limited, have declared an interim dividend of 3} per cent for the halfyear ended August 31. The rate is unchanged. Payment will be made on September 20. RAND PROFITS HIGHER SIX MONTHS* INCREASE Statistics issued by the Transvaal Chamber of Mines for the first half of tlie year show that tonnage milled by the mines increased by 2,000,000 tons, compared with the corresponding period of 1938., to 28.500.000 tons.
