(Supplied by the Council of Christian Congregations) Text.—This is the victory that overcometli - the world, even our faith. 1 John 4. Verse.— Faith hath an overcoming power. It triumphs in the dying hour; Christ is our life, our joy, our hope. Nor can we sink with such a prop. Prayer.—Saviour, we pray Thee today for victory over ourselves, for victory over the evil within- us. Give us victory over discouragement and despair, over loneliness and grief, over weakness of purpose and wavering will. Make us heralds of victory, to people . around us, cheering them on their.way. helping those who fall, strengthening the faint and weary, caring for "the broken-hearted, restoring those who have lost, their grip. We ask it in the name of Christ. Amen. 4?
