SAXON BURIAL SHIP GOLD AND SILVER ARTICLES LANDOWNER'S GOOD FORTUNE LONDON. Aug. 18 Experts value treasure found in the Saxon royal burial ship near Ipswich —which becomes the property of the owner of the land, Mrs. Pretty at £30,000. The gold and silver alone are worth £IB,OOO in a sale room. 'Mrs. Pretty's friends believe she will present some of the treasures to the nation.
Officials in the British Museum laboratories are repairing and cleaning the gold and silver articles, and a London jeweller is resetting the stones in golden bracelets and buckles.
