HURRIED TOUR
HUNGARIAN MINISTER GERMANY AND ITALY CONFERENCE IN ROME FRIENDSHIP FOR POLAND By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received August 20, 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 19 The Hungarian Foreign Minister, Count Cznky, who recently visited Salzburg, Germany, and then flew to Home to confer with Signor Mussolini and Count C'iano, left Home by air to-day for Budapest.
Interviewed at Salzburg, Count Czalcy said: "I went to Germany purely ns a private individual, and did not conduct negotiations with anyone. The
fantastic conjectures of the foreign press do not surprise me. They ought to invent something new."
An official Berlin statement says Count Szaky did not see Herr Hitler. Count Czaky and Count Ciano conferred in Home for over an hour, but no word of the discussion has leaked out, as it is still insisted tha,t the visit was private. The French Foreign Office has received assurances that Count Czaky'e visits have not affected the friendship between Hungary and Poland. A Hungarian member of Parliament, M. Tibor Eckhardt, emphasises Hungary's desiro for neutrality.
