THE NEW METROPOLE

Firmly established in favour at tho New Metropole Cabaret, Mr. Sammy Lee's America Indians' syncopated music in its ultra-modern phases was greatly enjoyed by the dancers on Saturday night. Enthusiastic applause greeted Messrs. Roy Lester, B. Reed and P. McMurra.v for their expressive show songs, while the five trumpeters also featured the up-to-date swing music. Modernised versions of lilting ballads gave a lively note to the programme, and tho latest "hits" from New York were featured in characteristic stylo. Birthday party celebrations contributed to tho jollity of tho entertainment.
