iTH E AUCKLAND EXCHANGE market active and firmer Although the 7 number of transactions ■pras slightly lower than tho high total of the previous. day, conditions remained active on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Most of the sections were steady to firmer. Levels for Government loans eased 8 shade. Banks were stronger, particularly tho two Dominion issues, and ]sew Zealnnds gained ground in .two sales. South British Insurance weakened in active dealing. Turnover again was active among the industrials and New Zealand scrip met with mycli stronger support. Australian issues were firmer, with most attention being paid to chain stores, where Wool worths (Sydney) again advanced.
PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE Estates of a value of £421,302 were Sported and for administration by the Public Trustee during July. Grants oir - administration made h tho Court in favour of tho Public Trustee numbered 176 for the month. A total of 475 new wills appointing the Public trustee executor were prepared behalf of testators and lodged for sa fe custody, and 373 existing wills *ere revised to provide for changes deSired by testators.
