TRANKTON QUOTATIONS | FAT BULLOCKS TO £l4/15/BACONERS MAKE TO £3/17/[froji our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday A smaller entry of fat sheep met a brisk demand at the Frankion stock salo to-day, values showing a general improvement for prime quality mutton. Unfinished sheep also sold more readily, while a short penning of fat ewes was in keen demand. The usual entry of fat and killable hoggets was cleared at prices equal to schedule rates, tho offering varying in quality and price accordingly. A few pen§ of store sheep were not in demand.

A full offering jf ox beef came forward for which competition was steady, values remaining firm at last week's quotations. There was a good yarding of cow and heifer heef, including a fair proportion of finished, cattle. Bidding in this section was much keener, and values accordingly showed a marked improvement on recent realisations. A smaller yarding of runners and vcalers, mostly of second Quality, was. penned. Bidding was steady, values remaining very firm. A good yarding of boner cows was keenly competed for at prices in advance of schedule rates. <» There was a medium yarding of fat pigs, comprising mostly buttermilk lots.'
