WOMEN'S DIVISION

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE PLANS FOR EXHIBITION A meeting of the Central Group of the Waitcmata Provincial Executive of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs. C. 0. Munro presided and welcomed the new vice-president, Mrs. H. Ellett. who later presented a gift of flowers to Mrs. Munro, newly-elected provincial president. She also spoke appreciatively on behalf of members of the sympathetic understanding and tact witli which Mrs. 3lunro had carried out her work in the past. There were also present at the meeting the Dominion president, 3lrs. Noel Adams, and Mrs. Poison, who was the founder of the Women's Division and the first Dominion president. 3lrs. Poison, who is the organiser for the Women's Division in the women's section of the Centennial Exhibition in Wellington spoke to the special committee appointed to work for the Waitnmata provincial executive in connection with this undertaking, and pointed out that it was the countrywomen's gesture to the pioneer mothers. An interesting talk by 3trs. St. Clair Woollams dealing with her travels in South America was also given. Arrange-

ments wore made for a drama festival to be given under the auspices of tho central group.
