AUSTRALIAN VISIT LIKELY Arrangements for the visit to New Zealand next February of a team of Australian surf life-savers tare discussed yesterday by .Mr, A. M. Jackson, or "Wellington, an officer of the council of the New Zealand Surf LifeSaving Association, and Mr. P. J. 'Wynter, manager of the Australian surf life-saving team, which was returning hy the Mariposa from a fisit to Hawaii. The team invited to New Zealand will compete in the national centennial championships in Wellington and will probably tour the. Dominion. As a result of Mr. W.vnter's negotiations in Honolulu, a visit to Australia by a team of Hawaiian surfers and swimmers is likely next summer. The swimmers will probably take pari in the centennial championship meeting,in the Xewmarket Olympic Pool in January. Mr Wynter said his team had done well against Hawaiian surf teams. The surf was much lighter than on Australian benches, and the Hawalians put up the strongest opposition in the surf hoard ami surf boat races.
