INTOXICATED DRIVER
COURT FINES CLERK £25 [itr TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Monday A fine of £25. with cancellation of his licence for 18 months, was imposed on Albert Victor Gordon, aged flB, a clerk, for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. A taxi-driver who saw him told him he ought; not to be, in charge of the car, took away the ignition key, and telephoned the police. Counsel fc?r accused said Gordon partook of liquor at his employer's place. His employer instructed. him to take the car home with him,, being of the opinion hj« was quite capable of doinc SO. 1 . :
