THE NATIONAL REGISTER MINISTERS TO MEET LABOUR ONE-PAY STRIKE BY MINERS 1 D(Received July 10, 11.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 16 It is reported from Perth that the Primo Minister, Mr. Menzies, and the Minister of Defence, Mr. G. A. Street, will meet the Federal Labour Advisory Committee, which comprises the Federal Labour Executive, the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party and the Australian Council of Trades Unions, on Friday to consider the position that has arisen regarding the unions' decision to oppose the national register of man-power and wealth. Meanwhile, the coalminers' central council has decided on a one-day strike to-morrow in all mines throughout Australia, as a protest against the register.
