OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL STAGES REACHED Another attendance witnessed an excellent exhibition at Barton McGill's hilliards hall on Saturday night, when R. Carrick, the title-holder, defeated W. Thompson in the semi-final. The scores were:—Carrick. ."00; Thompson, SU>. Carrick scored very freely and made breaks of 20, !M, 53, 30, 35, 20 and 15. Thompson's best efforts were 25. 'J7. 0(5 and 'JS Carrick will now meet M. D. White in the final. This frame, of 1000 points up, will be played to-morrow and on Wednesday, commencing at 8 p m. each evening.
