SHELTER FOR ANIMALS

Sir, —The thanks of every person are due to "D.IV for his timely reminder that many animals jn our midst are in sore need of better provision against the present intensely cold nights. Frequently one sees unfortunate dogs chained day after day and week after week with never a good hearty run -to warm themselves and with miserable, draughty kennels, often in the coldest spot in the yard or paddock. _ One wonders why these people keep animals at all, for they obviously have no love for them nor even decent feeling. Bow Wow.
