METHODIST CHURCH
f ,TME CENTRAL MISSION The quarterly meeting of the Methodist Central Mission was attended by a large and representative gathering, over which the Rev. A. Everil Orr presided. A slight increase in membership was shown, and it was reported that religious and educational work had been well maintained. The social work and benevolent fund revealed an expenditure of £O7O, and it was reported that 250 children had received treatment at the health camp at Campbell's Bay during the last season, making a total of 1015 over four seasons. The "goodwill industries" which had been introduced to meet the needs of those out of employment had more tlian justified itself, and was proving to be an effective means of industrial evangelism. It was unanimously resolved to forward a recommendation to the Methodist Centennial Committee regarding a new building scheme, stating the needs of the mission and its opportunities for service. Mr. F. Souster was appointed circuit steward on account of the departure of Mr. H. M. Dickson.
