AUSTRALIA AND JAPAN TERMS ANNOUNCED (Received June 27, 9.25 p.m.) Canberra. June 27 The terms of a new trade agreement with Japan were announced to-day. It will replace the one due to expire on Friday. v japan must continue to allot to Australia two-thirds of the total quantity of wool imported into Japan, namely 350,000 to 'IOO,OOO bales of Australian wool, in return for which Australia is to import from Japan not more than 5,250,000 square yards of cotton piece goods a year, and the same quantity of rayon pieco goods, including staple fibre. Japan failed to purchase the full allotment of Australian wool last year owing to the Sino-Japanese Avar.
