JUNIOR MANAGEMENT QUESTION OF SUNDAY GAMES The meeting of the Auckland Rugby League junior management committee was honoured last evening by a special visit from a delegation from the New Zealand Council, Messrs. Harold Wilson (deputy-chairman) ami J. W. Watson, who, following a welcomo by the acting-chairman, Mr. <E. Chapman, gave an address on arrangements for tho New Zealand team's tour to England and France. The speakers stressed Iho importance of all co-operation, and, when being thanked for their remarks, were heartily assured of full support from the junior side of the gamo and its friends. Tho management decided lo disassociate itself officially from a request by Otahuhu to send its senior B and third grade teams to Huntly on July 2, maintaining that Sunday play was entirely a matter for clubs concerned. An application from Ihe Pukemiro club seeking a gamo in Auckland against any third grade side on July ]5 was held over for reference lo tho clubs. , The senior B and seventh grade championships were reported to be duo to closo on August 12. Clubs aro to bo asked to make suggestions for play for the balance of tho season. These grades were given a byo on July S. Formed at Donaghy's T?ope and Twine Works, a team sought matches against, third grade byo teams, but it was decided to advise that these games would be difficult to arrange at tho present time. A third grade City player, who appeared, was suspended for two playing Saturdays for striking an opponent. Transfers. —G. Ellis, 'Mount Albert third grade to Ponsonb.v; R. Blytban.
