YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland. —Conditions wore overcast with a fresh north-oast wind. The maximum temperature was 58 degrees and the minimum B degrees. Barometric pressure fell slowly. Barometer, midnight 29.92 in. (1013 millibars) Midnight, Monday 30.12 m. (1020 millibarr.) Wellington.—The day was cloudy but rather dull at times, with a moderate to fresh northerly wind. At 3 p.m. the temperature was 51.0 degrees ancl the barometric pressure was 1011.;! millibars (20.86 in.).

Christchureh.—The day was fine and mihl and sunny at intervals, with a lijzlit to moderate north-easterly wind. The maximum temperature w-as 58.3 grees and the barometer fell slowly to 1002 millibars <29.-58in.) at 5 p.m". Dunedin. —The sky. was overcast, but there was only a slight southerly breeze and temperatures were rnild, the maximum being 55 degrees.
