POWER RETICULATION

EXCHANGE OF TERRITORY ARRANGEMENT BY BOARDS [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Tuesday An arrangement for an exchange of territory between tho Franklin and Central Power Boards was confirmed at this month's meeting of the Franklin board, held at Pukckohc to-day. The arrangement provides that the Franklin board's boundary shall embrace the whole of the Waikaretu Valley, instead of about half as at present, and that the Central board shall take over the Popepe area. The territory to be taken over by the Franklin board is approximately seven square miles, while tho territory being transferred to the Central board comprises about four square miles. It was reported that negotiations were well forward for the raising of a £20,000 loan by the Franklin board at 4i per cent.
