There is to be a meeting 011 Thursday between the employers' national body and the national bodies of workers concerned, and it was claimed by union officials to-day that this meeting had not boon arranged too soon to avoid open conflict. Now that it had been arranged, however, it was anticipated that the workers would carry 011 in the meantime and would await the reports of their national representatives.
