Clarrie Rayner. of Nelson. New Zealand lightweight professional boxing, champion, heal Val Borcovsk.v. of Mnrchison. by a technical knock-out in the eighth of a scheduled 10 rounds bout. Rayner won all the rounds with the ej.ception of the second. Toward the end the champion's clean hitting quickly weakened Borcovsky. who was on the mat twice before the referee stopped the bout.
