Chinese bonds are sharply declining, as with the Japanese encroachments in Tientsin it is feared that the Chinese will bo unable to keep up their struggle to maintain service loans, which are secured on the customs revenue. A message from New York states that turnover on the New York Stock Exchange totalled 100.000 shares, as against 470,000 shares on the previous day. GOLD AND SILVER QUOTATIONS IN LONDON (Received June 23, 0.25 p.m.) LOXDOX, June 22 Fine gold is quoted to-day at £'7 8s 6Jd an ounce, compared with £7 8s s id yesterday. Silver is quoted at 19id an ounce spot, and 19 1-] Gel forward, compared with 19d and 18 I."}-16d yesterday. The quotation for silver at per fine ounce is 20$ d, compared with 20 J d yesterday.
