TRADE PARLEYS

BRITAIN AND EUROPE (Received June 21, 7.10 p.m.) British Wireless LONDON, June 20 The Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade, Mr. It. S. Hudson, speaking at Blackpool, expressed confidence that recent conversations would lead to improved trade with Northern European States. The exceptionally severe competition demanded the adoption of more aggressive selling methods and greater attention to marketing. Nobody could say whether there would be war or not, but it was perfectly certain that if British commercial men followed their ordinary pursuits in spite of difficulties the country would become stronger, and the degree to which it became stronger would put off the possibility of war.
