GOLDEN WEDDING

MR. AND MRS. FRANK SQUIRE The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Squire, of Cameron Street, Hnwcra, was celebrated on Monday. Both have been residents of South Taranaki for a long period of years. Mr. Squire arrived in Hawera from Bedford, England, in 1884, and for a number of years worked as a painter and paper-hanger. Mrs. Squire, formerly Miss Marion Watts, arrived in Hawera in .1882. Mr. Squire is a foundation member, and for a number of years was chairman of directors, of the Hawera Starr Howkett Building Society. Recently he resigned owing to ill-health. He joined tho Loyal Union Lodge, Manchester Unity, shortly after its inception and served as Taranaki Provincial Grand Master of tho Order.
