WIMBLEDON PROSPECTS

VETERAN FRENCH PLAYERS Jean Borotra and Jacques Brugnon, the famous French tennis players, have again entered for the Wimbledon doubles this year, and, although both .•ire more than 40, writers doubt whether there will be a stronger pair in the event. The Frenchmen's doubles partnership started in 1024 in a Davis Cup tie a ,r ainst England. They soon settled down as a brilliant pair, and wore twice Wimbledon champions. Brugnon is 44 and Borotra 41. They won the Wimbledon title in 1032 and 1033, the French in 1028 and 1934, and tho Australian in 1928.
