Nicholson; warden, Sister M. Jackson; guardian, 810. I'- Wick ha in; conductors. Sister Antich and Bn>. L. O'Reilly; K.S.X.G., | Bro. .1. Tanner, P-G-; ■ L^XG., Sister M. Packet; Sister S. Blundeil; L.S.Y.G., Bro. J* Cosgrovo. An address on lodge matters was given by Bro. 'lanner, P.G., and tho honours of the order were conferred on Sister MePhorson and Bro. Peach. Bros. C. Blundeil and C. Drake were elected delegates to the district council meeting at Matata. Dancing took place at the close of the business, the Monte Carlo waltz being won by Miss B. Bakor and Mr. P. Cosgrove. Mr. Coffin gave some very well received items on the piano accordeon. The Star of Paeroa Lodge, U.A.0.D., mot with Bro. A. .1. Maiden, J.P.D.P., in the chair. The chief event of the evening was the installation of officers, this being ably conducted by the district president, Bro. C. V. Slyficld, who afterward gave an address to the members. The new officers are: —A.D., Bro. J. T. Wright: V.A.1)., Bro. Alan Shaw; 1.G.. Bro. R. Simm; 0.G., Bro. W. Donnelly: A.D.IJ.'s, Bros. G. Matkovicli and W. Marsh; V.A.B.'s. Bros. Martin and J. f'ascoc; M.C. and minutes secretary, Bro. F. Lewis. 'I he secretary, treasurer and auditors were all re-elected. A presentation was made to Bro. W. Donnelly of a Past Arch Druid's collar. Supper was served and a pleasant social hour spent. The Star of Newmarket Lodge, TT.A.O.D., met in the Alma Street Hall. Bro. Todd. A.D., presiding. The chief business of the evening was the installing of the officers for the new term by the newly-installed district president. Bro. .Johnstone, assisted bv P.D.P. Bro. Pavis, who acted as presenting officer. Bro. M. Polkinghorne is the new Arch Druid; Bro. Main, Vice-Arch; Bro. Morris, inside guardian; Bros. Todd and Smart. Arch Druid's bards; Bro. Willis, Vice Arch bard; Bro. f/owry, P.A., master of ceremonies. Refreshments were served and the lodge went into harmony. A programme of items was given by the members. Tho annual installation meeting of the Loyal Parnell Lodge of M.U. Oddfellows was recently held in the lodge room. Parnell. The noble grand, Bro. J. A. Molloy, presided. Past Grand Bro. R. Forsman was installing master, and lie was assisted by Sister F. F. Austin and Bro. H. F. White as conductors. The now officers are as follows:—Bro. W. W. Raff, noble grand; Bro. W. V. Curroy. vice-grand; Bro. G. F. White, elective secretary; Hro. W. W. Raff, financial secretary. P.D.G.M. Bro. W. Perr.v enrobed the newly-installed officers with the regalia of their respective offices. Minor officers appointed were:—Sister F. F. Austin, P.G.. warden: Bro. H. F. White, P.G., guardian; Bro. S. C. Roes, P.G., R.S.X.G.; Bro. L. R. Sandham, P.G., L.S.X.G.; Hro. 1?. Forsman, P. 0., R.S.V.G.; Bro. ,T. W. Williams. P.G., L.S.V.G. P.D.G.M. Bro. William Perry, who lias retired from the office of financial secretary after .37 years' service, spoke of the good work done hv the retiring officers. It was decided to present Past Grand Sister G. H. Sandham with a past grand collar as an appreciation of her services. It was decided to make a presentation of a radio set to the retiring secretarv. Bro W. Perrv.

Officers of Lodge Star of Pinko. TJ.A.0.1).. Morrinsville. were installed for tlie half-year by District President Pro. J. i'. Barlow, of Morrinsville. Pro. G. AV. Simpson. P.D.P.. was master of ceremonies. Among those present were Pro. .J. Prowso, P.D.P., and representatives of Lodge Pride of Matamata. The officers installed were:—Junior Past Arch Druid. Pro. X. J. Parlow; Arch Druid. Pro. 0. Vowles; vice-Arch Druid. IJIO. G. Whvto; inside guardian, Pro. A. Parlow; Arch Druid bards. Pros. J. Donald and H. T. Jones. At the social which followed the meeting representatives were present from the Morrinsville and Kereone Oddfellows' Lodges. A presentation of a Past Arch Druid's collar and framed diploma was made to Bro. J. Donald, of Te Puningn, the retiring junior Past Arch Druid. At supper time opportunity was taken to celebrate the 28th birthday of the lodge, which was opened in April, 3911. Pro. J. T. Parlow, who has been a member since 1912, mentioned that the only foundation member of the lodge now living was Pro. H. Robinson, of AVaihou.—The AVaitoa Hall was well filled when the half-yearly installation of officers of Group 15 of the Auckland District Manchester Unity, Independent Order of Oddfellows was held. The Waitoa, Te Aroha, Morrinsville, Kereone and Tamvhare lodges were well represented. The honours of the order were accorded the following Auckland district officers who attended: —The Grand Master, Bro. AV. F. Pates (Te Aroha), and Past District Grand Master. Pro. P. T. Scott (Morrinsville). The X.G.'s and E.S.'s were enrolled hv Pro. P. T. Scott, P.D.G.M., the V.G.'s by Pro. Martin. P.G. (Thames), and the T.P.N.G.'s by Pro. AV. F. Pates, D.G.M. The conductors were Pros. E. P. Davies. P.G. (Morrinsville), and P. R. Heaton. P.G. (Kereone). The officers of lodges in Group 15 were as follows: —Loval Morrinsville Lodge: X.G., Pro. A. E. Tho result of the halfyearlv ritual shield competition between lodges in Group 15 was announced by Pro. R. T. Scott as" follows: —Morrinsville, 555 points, 1; Kereone, 552.1, 2. Tho district grand master presented to the now Tauwhare Lodge, which was strated some years ago as a branch of the Morrinsville Lodge, its dispensation, that is, the warrant from tho English order in Manchester under which lodges in Xew Zealand work. A presentation of a Past Grand's jewel for meritorious service was made to Sister C. B. Davis on behalf of the Morrinsville Lodge by the grand master. The shield awarded to the lodge in Group 15 with the largest increase in membership was presented by Pro! Scott to the Hot Springs Lodge, which had beaten the other lodges for both half years in U).')B. Framed Past Grand's emblems were presented on behalf of Hot Springs Lodge to Sister Ryan and Bro. Bertelsen, who had passed through the chairß.
