THAMES COUNTY'S PROTEST [by telegrafh—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Friday The burden of the increased hospital rates was criticised at a meeting of the Thames County Council yesterday, when letters asking for support to protests were received front the Ohineinuri County Council and the Takaptina Borough Council. Hospital levies bad increased rapidly during the past few years, said Mr. D. Courtney. He added that he remembered the time when the levy on the Thames county was £BOO, and this year it amounted to £1659. The council decided to support the protests.
