TRUCK DRIVER HURT

HEAD CAUGHT BY TRAY CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS As a result of the tray of his truck falling while he was making an adjustment to one of the supporting rods at the Auckland City Council tip on tho waterfront road yesterday afternoon, Mr. Henry Kelly, aged 34, of 35 Crummer Road, Grey Lynn, a driver employed by the Cit3' Council, suffered injuries to the throat. He was taken to tho Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance and his condition iasfc night was reported to bo fairly serious.

Mr. Kelly's head was caught between the tray and the chassis of the truck, and only the jamming of the faulty rod prevented the whole weight from falling on him. The combined efforts of four workmen were necessary to raise tho trav and set him freo.
