EMPIRE BALL
HO WICK EX-SERVICEMEN MANY GUESTS ATTEND ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS The annual Empire Ball of the Howick ex-Servicemen's Club was hold in the Howick Town Hall on Wednesday night. A display of nations! flags was shown to advantage by the special lighting effects, and the hall presented a most attractive scene. The ladies of the committee were: — Mrs. J. Crawford, who wore pervenche blue eire; Mrs. N. R. Vause, pastel taffetas; Mrs. 11. Hattawav, rose cloqtie; Mrs. A. M. Callander, black satin beaute; Mrs. A. Holton, tomatorcd taffetas; Mrs. Drake, navy taffetas; Mrs. Pole, black chiffon. There were also present: —Mrs. A. Bell, wine cloque; Mrs. Arnold May, black georgette; Mrs. L. B. White, black taffetas, with green relief; Mrs. H. Y. Stevenson, French glover leaf lace; Mrs. H. Haswell (Albany), appliqued net over taffetas; Mrs. R.
