SOUTH AUCKLAND CENTRE NEW OFFICERS ELECTED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday The nnnual meeting of the South Auckland Bowling Centre was presided over bv Mr. W. W. Maingay. The executive reported that there were 34 clubs affiliated to the centre, with an aggreKate membership of ICOt. The receipts for the year were £2(iO. and the expenditure £•'-•33. The season was a very successful one from every point of view. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. H. L. Franklin; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. T. Cooney and A. G. Leggatt; secretary, Mr. C. W. Wyclierley; treasurer, Mr. C. G Speiffht; executive. Messrs. IJ. E. Conradi, S. Lewis, J. T. North, C. Davis, M. Welsh and W. P. Aldridge; sub-manaeement committee, Messrs. Conradi. Cooney and Aldridge; selectors, Messrs. North. Conradi and Maingay. The meeting rejected a remit proposed by the Whitiora Club that the value of troDhies for club tournaments should be limited to £'_»• '.'s, and a motion was adopted aererine to a limit of i' 4 -is. It was pointed out that the large prize values and liquid refreshments offered by some clubs made it difficult for those clubs offering trophies of less valuo to obtain entries. Thursday The balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Cambridge Bowling Club showed thnt the year was commenced with a debit balance of £23 10s id and concluded with a credit of £-41 Os ."id, an improved position to the extent of .CO) ins Od. The assets were set down at £ 100 7s sd, with a contingent liability of £".250 on the improvements to the pavilion. The election of i.'ficers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. ,T. Hooker; president.
