MOUNT ROSKILL DISTRICT POPULATION TOTALS 7750 The continued progress of the Mount Roskill area was described by the chairman, Mr. C. M. McCullough, when the annual reports were presented at a meeting of the Mount Roskill Road Board. He said the nresent population of the area was 77,50 and, with the erection of State houses, it'appeared likely to reach the 10 000 mark in the near future. It was stated that building activity had continued. In 1938-39 permits for private dwellings, excluding State houses had been issued to the value of £90',697, while a further £26,559 had been represented in the permits lor other buildings. Mr H. G. Sayers was elected assessor for the district in terms of the Land Valuation Act.
