The Anchor Line motor-ship Puriri,' loading for Onehunga, has been delayed at Greymouth by rain and conditions on the bar. Delayed by a shortage in crew, the Union Company's steamer Kartigi did not leave port for West port until late yesterday morning. The Sleigh Line steamer James Cook is expected to leave Wellington to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday, Whangarei and Greymouth to complete discharge of Australian cargo. FORRESBANK TO-MORROW The Bank Line motor-ship Forresbank. from Nauru Island, via Ocean 'lsland *«} arrive hero to-morrow morning with a full cargo of phogphate. MARIPOSA FROM SYDNEY Leaving Sydney to-day for Auckland, the Matson liner Mariposa will arrive at seven o'clock on Monday morning and sail at 10 o'clock the same night for San Francisco, via ports. THE PORT CHALMERS The Port Line motor-ship will arrive late this morning from Wellington and berth at Central Wharf to complete. discharge of cargo from London and to begin homeward loading. _____ THE LINER AORANGI From Vanconver, via ports, the CanadianAustralasian liner Aorangi will clear Suva to-day for Auckland, where she will arrive on Monday afternoon. She will sail for Sydney at midnight on Tuesday. VACUUM OIL TANKERS Following the J. A. Brown, due here from Palembang on June 25, other \acunm Oil Company motor-tankers scheduled to reach Auckland from the East are the Edward F. Johnson, in August, and the Arthur t. Corwin, in September. KARITANE AND KAIRANGA The Union Company's new steamer Karitane is due here from Adelaide to-night. She will berth to-morrow morning. The same company's steamer Kairanga advised yesterday that she would arrive here from Port Lincoln, South Australia, on Sunday. THE PORT SYDNEY Delayed at New Plymouth, the Port Line steamer Port Sydney is expected to leave_ today for Opua, where she is due on Sunday. She should arrive here from Opua on Tuesday night to continue loading for London and West Coast ports of Britain. TROJAN STAR DELAYED The departure for London and West Coast ports of Britain, via Panama, of the Blue Star steamer Trojan Star, at Qneen s Wharf, has been postponed until noon to-morrow. The Trojan Star will carry the following passengers:—Major C. W. Knight, Mr. and Mrs F. R. Reynolds, Mrs. G. M. Rowley, Mr and Mrs. A. Wall, Miss M. Edwards. Miss F. G. Tuff. Dr. E. 0. Rowley will act as ship's surgeon. THE SUFFOLK LAUNCHED The Federal Line motor-ship Suffolk, of 11,000 tons gross, sister ship to the Essex and Sussex, was launched early this month from the Glasgow yards of John Brown and Company, according to air mail advice from the London correspondent of the Herald. ,1 he Suffolk will be engaged in the trade between Britain and Australia and New Zealand, and should leave for Australia on her maiden voyage from Liverpool about the end oi October.
