NO MILK FOR SCHOOLS
SHORTAGE IN TARANAKI [itY TKIiKOHAVn —I'IIKSS ASSOCIATION] NEW PLYMOUTH. Thursday As a result of the abnormal dairying season there is an insufficient supply of milk for Taranaki schools and several thousand children will have to go without until a normal quantity is available. About 2100 of tho (3500 children in the central and eastern districts supplied, from Stratford, who until the end of the first term received half a pint of milk daily, cannot be supplied. About two months will elapse before normal deliveries can bo resumed, according to the contractor. The position is the same in North Taranaki, where most country schools, and some at New Plymouth and Waitara, aro expected to bo without the usual supply for a few weeks.
