POLISH TERRITORY CUSTOMS HOUSE BESIEGED POLICE RESCUE OFFICIALS NAZIS THREATEN RETURN By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received May 23, 12.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 22 A second incident occurred at Pieckcl, the southern point in Danzig territory. Customs officials telephoned that they were barricaded in the Customs house, which was being attacked by uniformed Storm Troopers, shouting anti - Polish slogans and demanding the blood of Polish Customs officers. As the result of a strong protest by tlio Polish Commissioner in Danzig, M. Chodacki, the Senate ordered the police to rescue the besieged men. The Nazis dispersed, shouting: "We shall return !" It is understood M. Chodacki told tho Senate that unless the police guaranteed tho safety of the Polish officials Poland would take her own measures to protect them.
DANZIG AND LEAGUE (Received May 23, 12.15 a.m.) GENEVA, May 22 The question of Danzig is not included on the agenda for the League Council meeting. The advisory committee may not discuss it on the grounds that the time is not opportune for dealing with an explosive subject.
