ARMY ORDNANCE DEPOT AFFAIR NEAR NOTTINGHAM EARLIER ANONYMOUS THREATS PETROL TANKS BLOWN UP By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Independent Cable Sorvico (Received May 11, 1 a.m.) LONDON, May 10 Following anonymous threats received at a Royal Air Force station near by, a big fire at the Army Ordnance Depot near Nottingham last night destroyed many light motor vehicles and tyres. The depot is oni3 of the chief distributing centres of army cars. Tlio Australian Associated Press, in a later message, says the petrol tanks burst and one large shed was destroyed, but the other was saved. It is officially stated that no vehicles were damaged, and that a large number of tyres was saved.
