PEACEFUL AIMS

HUNGARY'S CABINET MAY RENOUNCE CLAIMS BUDAPEST, May 4 The report of Count Stephen Csaky, Hungarian Foreign Minister, to the Foreign Affairs Committees in both Houses implies that, at least temporarily, there will be a renunciation of Hungary's territorial claims on Rumania and Yugoslavia.

The Minister said it would be useless to claim what they knew in advance could not be obtained. He wished to normalise relations with Rumania and hoped for Yugoslavia's friendship. Count Csaky said he had begun negotiations with Rumania for the settle-

mfcnt of the minorities questions. The peace policy of the Axis lent a guarantee that there would bo no war in

Europe. The friendship between Hungary and Poland remained.
