RADIO RECEPTION
| DIFFICULTIES IN NORTH [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Friday It was claimed at the annual meeting of the Northland branch of tho New Zealand DX Club that Whangarei was one of tho worst iocalitios in New Zealand for radio reception, on account of the large amount of power noise. An increase in membership and an advance in funds wag reported to tha meeting. The officers elected were as followys:—President, Mr. J. A. Langridge; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Stewart and H. M. McKenzie; secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. A. Roycroft; auditor, Mr. A. MeKinnon; competition committee, Messrs. Langridge, Roycroft and «T. Stewart; executive, Messrs. R. Fulljames, H. M. McKenzie, J. 'Hodsell, S. Ruddell and L. Drake; library committee, Messrs. J. Stewart, S. Ruddell and J. Hodsell. Verifications held by the branch now total nearly .1200 broadcast stations, and the highest individual log, totalling 305, is. held by a member of the ,-;V branch*-:'
