CARLAW PARK MATCHES KEEN CONTESTS EXPECTED NORTH SHORE AND MANUKAU Keenly-fought matches should be witnessed at Carlaw Park this afternoon, when the fourth series of games iti the senior competition of the Auckland Rugby League will be contested. With wins over Richmond and Ponsonby to its credit, North Shore has excellent chances against Manukau in the principal match. Well-balanced in the rearguard, North Shore, however, will meet strong opposition from the Manukau forwards, which are the heaviest in the competition. Mount Albert and Richmond shonld provide sparkling football in the curtain-raiser. Both teams are expected to provide a number of players for the New Zeadand rcpresentative side, and, as a consequence, the game will be followed with interest. Champion last season, Marist will meet Papakura in the early game on No. 2 ground, while Newton has been matched with City in tho three o'clock contest.
