OBITUARY
MR. EDGAR MI,DDLETON PLAYWRIGHT AND AUTHOR LONDON, April 10 The death has occurred of Mr. Edgar Middlcton, journalist, playwright and author. Mr. Middleton was born on November 26, 1894, and educated at Bancroft's School, Woodford, Essex. Ho served with the Daily Mail and the Times and. for some tjme was London correspondent of tho New York Sun. He also contributed to several London journals. His experiences as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant inspired him to write various books on aviation, including 'The Great War itn the Air," a history of the air operations in the war, ir. four volumes, with an introduction by Lord Montague of Befoulieu. He wrote biographical works, including "The Prince of Wales" (1933) and "Lord Buaverbrook" (1934). E.e was also the author of plays and sketches, and was responsible for the official film of the life of the Prmca of Wales (193}).
