FOOTBALLER INJURED
The Wiclnes Rugby League Club's captain and forward, Nat Silcock, who has been in 10 England Rugby League test teams, has had to return to hospital after undergoing an internal operation. Silcock joined Widnes when 20 years old, in 1923, and was originally tried as a back. Failing to impress there, he was put into the forwards, to become one of the greatest the gamo has ever known..
