"THE WOMEN"
SATIRE ON SOCIETY Clare Boothe's cdntroversial satire on modern feminine society, "The Women," will have further performances to-day in His Majesty's Theatre. Heading the cast of 40 women players is Irene Purcell, distinguished New York actress, who has .appeared in n number of films. Prominent in the supporting plovers is Mary Does, famous as the double of the late Jean Harlow. Miss Dees plays the part of Crystal, a glamorous blonde who becomes the "other woman" in the married life of the heroine, portrayed by Miss Purcell. The story tells how the malicious gossip of a group of society women is responsible for driving the only sympathetic character in the whole play into the Divorce Court. Dorothea Dunstan, a talented Australian juvenile actress, has an important part. Details of booking arrangements are advertised.
