CENTENNIAL PAGEANT conference between clubs ONE-DAY SERIES ARRANGED The calling of a meeting 'of club executives in connection with the Centennial Pageant of Sport was discussed at last night's meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association. The sub-commit-tee previously appointed to approach the clubs suggested a.conference of club executives as best means of ensuring a good representation of oricketers in the. pageant- It was-decided to arrange a conference at an early date.

In connection with the Centennial Games, Mr. L. Colebourne was appointed the association's representative on the Centennial sports sub-committee. ' - . >: -

The report of a special sub-committee that the association shonld combine with the (Auckland Rugby Union in a sports carnival at Eden Park was adopted. Mr. P. Shaw tabled a proposed schedule of events; which was approved. The fixing of the. date for the carnival was deferred pending a report from the Auckland Kugby Union. . Permission was granted the sole selector, Mr. H. Duncan, to announce the team to meet Sir Julien Cahn's side without first submitting it to . the management committee. In view of the representative' match against Sir Julien" Cahn's team > the following week, it was decided to play one-day fixtures that Saturday. The following hours of play were decided on:—First and senior 1 B grades: 1.30 p.m. .to 3.53 p.m., 4.7 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. A new'ball will be used for each innings: Second and intermediate grades: 2 p.m. to 4.10 p.m.. 4.20 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. .\. ,
