ACTIVE LONDON DEMAND LOWER NEW ZEALAND STOCKS OTHER QUANTITIES HEAVIERI A firm market was ruling for New Zealand butter in London at the close' of last week. The retail price was unaltered at is 3d per lb., although Danish has been reduced by Id to Is 5d per lb. Following an active demand during the week, stored stocks of New Zealand butter at 4848 tons showed a reduction of 211 tons on the amount hi;ld in the previous week. The total a year ago was 5583 tons, this being the first occasiion for a considerable time that this year's stocks a:fo lower. In spite of the bwer New Zealand, quantities, the latest estimate of the Imperial Economic Committers of all butters in store at 765,095 boxes comparer with only 384,127 boxesi a year ago. This is partly due to an increase of over 2000 tons in holdings of Australian butter compared with a year; ago.

Deliveries: New Zealand, 1814 tons (last year, 1803 tens); in store, 4848 tons (last year, 5583 tons). Australian: Salted, 113s to 115s, extra 116s (115s to 116s); unsalted, 114s to 116s (116s to 117s). Deliveries: Australian, 2316 tons (last year, 1703 tons); in store, 5115 tons (last year, 3100 tons). Argentine: Unsalted, 110s to 114s (112s to 115s). The market is steady. Danish, 121s f.0.b., 143s to 144s spot (120s, 141s to 1425). The market is firm. Danish retail price., Is 5d per lb. Dutch: Unsalted, 114s to 118s (120s to 1245).
