CHAMPIONSHIPS ON WAIKATO [from our own correspondent] . ,■ HUNTLY, Tuesday A very successful speed-boat carnival was held at Rangiriri under the control of- the Huntly Power-boat Club. Thero was a large attendance. Good entries wcro received, including some from Waitara, Hamilton, Aka Aka and Papatoctoe. An attraction during the afternoon was a display of bombing from an aeroplano. Riven by Mr. R. Chalton, of Rangiriri, and an exhibition of double aquaplaning by Mr. I. W. St. Clair, of Hamilton, and Miss Z. Middlebrook, of Raglan, and singlo aquaplaning by the latter and Mr. J. Brook, of Huntly. Following aro the results:— Smith Handicaps (outboards, five laps).— Miss Hamilton (G. Palmer, Hamilton), 1; Silver Slipper (J. Malcolm, Huntly), 2; C. U. Later (Jenkins, Papatoctoe), 3. Farrar Handicap (inboards, fivo laps).— Blue Flamo (E. Smith, Huntly), 1; Pam (H. Lawler, Hamilton). 2; Miss Huntly (J. Roberts, Huntly), 3. Waikato Outboard Championship.—Miss Hamilton, 1; C. U. Later, 2; Silver Slipper, 3. Waikato Motor-boat Championship.— Clematis (T. Prowdavi'ch, Aka Aka), 1; Bluo Flame, 2: Miss Huntly, 3. FIXTURE FOR HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Good entries are indicated for the speedboat regatta to be held on the Waikato River at Hamilton on March 2<5. Entries from all over the North Islftnd are expected, while it is possible that the South Island outboard champion, the Atlanta, will be seen on the river.
