ARMED ROBBERY
YOUTH SENT TO GAOL BONDI HOLD-UP CASE SYDNEY, Feb. 28 A 20-year-old youth, Jack Monford r Adan%s, has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for committing an armed robbery at Bondi last September. Th 9 robbery was a daring one. The local postmaster, Mr. Robert Wilson, had drawn £766 from the bank and w ; as returning to his post office in order to pay out old age pensions, when a youth thrust a revolver into his chest and ordered him to drop the baj;. Mr. who was completely flabbergasted, complied, and the youth ran off with the money. He climbed a fence and disappeared. Several waiting pensioners witnessed the hold-up, but were too old to assist in the pursuit of the fugitive.
