Rising Two-year-old Among the rising two-year-olds being ridden is one by Defoe from Lorrelle owned by Mr. C. Foote. This youngster is one of C. Morse's team. After racing at Wanganui, Parquet was taken south where she will probably indulge in a little racing under F. Christmas prior to being retired to the stud. According to C- Morse, Parquet _ was decidedly unfortunate not -to win the Wanganui Cup, as~c?Jhe was cramped for room when making her run. Parquet will be mated with Alan's Pal next season. Our Jean suffered s slight injury while racing at Te Aroha, cutting the 'off foreleg just below the knee. Tho injury is not likely to cause her any : nconvenience.
