Mr. C. M. Richwhite left for Palmerston North by air yesterday. Mr. J. S. Milne was a passenger for Wellington yesterday by air. The Hon. F. E. Lark, M.L.C., left for Wellington by the limited express last night. Sir Francis Frazer was a passerger by the limited express last night for Wellington. Mr. W. J. Lyon, M.P., returned from Wellington by the limited express yesterday morning. The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates left yesterday for his home at Matakohe with Mrs. Coates, after a brief visit to Auckland. Mr. S. G. Holland, M.x\ for Ch.ristchurch North, has left Christchurch for Taranaki, and will later spend a fortnight at Tauranga. Mr. H. P. Richmond will return to Auckland to-day with Mrs. Richmond by the Wanganella from Sydney, after a' visit to the East. Mr. J. Currie, manager of the Waverley branch of the_ Bank of New South Wales, has received notice of his transfer to the post of manager at Thames. Mr. Gilbert Archey, director of the Auckland War Memorial Museum, is visiting North Canterbury for the purpose of investigating the discoveries of moa skeletons that are being made there. Mr. F. W. Furkert, formerly engi-neer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, returned to Wellington bythe afternoon express yesterday after attending the engineers' conference in Auckland.

Mr. M. R. Aldridge, who for the past 10 years has been commercial representative in Auckland for the Post and Telegraph Department, has been appointed stores manager for the Auckland provincial district. Mr. F. 0. Widdop, formerly chief engineer of railways, who has been attending the engineers' conference in Auckland, returned to Wellington by the afternoon express yesterday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Widdop.
