OTOROHANGA FUNCTIONS

TENNIS CLUB ANNUAL BALL Tlit annual ball of the Otorohanga Tennis Club attracted many members and visitors to the Otorohanga Town Hall this week, guests being present from Hamilton, Te Awamutu, Te Kuiti and Cambridge. A cabaret supper was served, and the function throughout was an outstanding success. The Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Miss Joyce Carr and Mr. P. Hammond. The ladies interested in the Otorohanga branch of the Boy Scout Movement arranged stalls for • the sale of work, fruit and vegetables in the main street on Wednesday. Steady patronage throughout the day brought in considerable revenue for the local scout funds. Success also attended the sale of work arranged by the Otorohanga branch, of the Plunket Society on the same day, ,and held in front of the Town Hall. v
